An Honest Review Of InVideo [2019]

Help Someone Else By Sharing This Article

When I began blogging, I understood that video was extremely important to search engine optimization (SEO) and I knew I would need to utilize it. Unfortunately, I had no idea how much time it takes to run a successful blog, let alone worry about creating videos.

For the first six months, I didn’t worry about video because I had absolutely no time to create anything other than blog posts. Oh, and I had no idea how to use a video editor either. As my blog began to grow and I learned more about tools available to bloggers, I learned about an awesome website called AppSumo.

AppSumo Introduced Me To InVideo

For those of you that haven’t heard of AppSumo, it is a website that offers software at amazing prices. They can do this because usually the software offered is made by companies who created a new product and are trying to get people to start using it.

I know this isn’t a review of AppSumo, but if you do any type of online work, I highly suggest you check them out!

As I was browsing the deals, I came across InVideo. The product boasted I would be able to create promotional videos for my blogs in a fraction of the time it would through traditional video creation methods. In addition, they offered templates where I could plug in information and the video would be created with minimal effort.

The Pricing And Offers Seemed Too Good To Be True

Here is a quick sample video created with InVideo:

Also, because the software was relatively new, they were offering it at an amazing price. I decided to take the plunge and purchase the software due to the number of features that were promised.

The Features That Were Offered Through AppSumo Were:

  • Access to a Standard Media Library
  • Unlimited Character Length
  • Access to all Stickers and overlays
  • Special Text Boxes
  • Copyright-Free Music
  • Reseller Rights
  • Advanced Editing
  • No InVideo Branding
  • 1080p Resolution
  • Custom Font Uploads
  • 60-day money back guarantee, no matter the reason

I priced several other video editing software programs and found those that offered similar services were several hundred dollars for a license.

Using InVideo For The First Time

After purchasing the product, I found that I could quickly create marketing videos with their pre-made templates that ranged from technology to shopping. Some people cringe at the word templates, but it was a great starting point and I could easily edit the templates to make them unique to my blog.

All I had to do was edit the template (if I wanted to) and then copy and paste my video script. It was really that easy.

In addition, there is a video and picture library that I can search and drag and drop into my video so I could specifically tailor the video to my needs.

I didn’t have time to learn the ins and outs of video editing software so InVideo was perfect for me. I could easily trim or extend the video clips with a simple drag bar. I could crop and loop the video as well as change the volume of any background audio I put in the video.

Keep in mind, that I have very little free time so I was quickly impressed with InVideo because I could create a video from my blog post in less than 20 minutes from beginning to end.

InVideo On-Going Updates

Since I signed up for InVideo about 6 months ago, they have made several updates and added more videos and pictures to their software. They are continually making tweaks and are incredibly responsive if you have an issue.

I had an issue with uploading a video I created so I opened up the chat box in the program. Within 10 minutes of submitting my issue, I had a response and was able to chat with them in real time. I found that every time I had a question, there was someone there to help me out. It didn’t matter the time of day or the weekend so the customer support was spot on.

Here is one of the first videos I created with InVideo:

The plan I purchased allowed me to create up to 30 videos a month and I could look through the 100+ templates that were available for me. The videos could be up to three minutes in length which was plenty for me because I wanted to use my videos to highlight my blog posts.

As far as pricing, I just checked the InVideo website and you can actually sign up for free! Here are their current pricing plans:
